We are a digital recording studio, running 12 channels of Audent tube preamps on a local Dante ethernet network. We use a combination of Reaper for tracking, and Logic Pro X while tracking in the studio. Our microphone arsenal includes:

• a pair of MikTek C7e large diaphragm multi-pattern FET condensers

• Neuman TLM-103 large diaphragm condenser

• Aventone Pro CK-40 stereo large diaphragm condenser

• Schoeps CMC 6U microphone amplifier

• Slate Digital ML-1 large diaphragm modeling microphone

• Shure 330 Uniron Ribbon Microphone

• A full set of AKG/Shure Drums mics

We also have an array of onsite instruments including a vintage Fender Rhodes piano, Moog Little Phatty synth, Korn D1 full octave weighed keyboard, pedal slide steel guitar, various acoustic and electric guitars, accordion, concertina, theremin, and a bunch of percussion options.

We can track up to three instrumentalists in the performance room at one time with dedicated headphone mixes. To achieve the best performance and signal, vocals are routinely done in overdubs. Offsite spaces are available for tracking full live band performances.

Once we have your song’s stem files, they are transferred into Logic Pro X for mixing and Mastering. Our Plugin arsenal includes a full suit of Abbey Road EMI emulators for that vintage sound, as well as dozens of other top quality plugins for everything from reverb, delay, and amp modulation, to compression, intelligent EQ, to advanced de-essers and intelligent gates for achieving the cleanest signals, as well as a full suite of master bus processing and effects for achieving the perfect balanced sound.

Mastering used to be the process of cutting the final mix onto the pressing plate. Today, it is the process of making your final stereo mix ready for transfer to the vinyl mastering engineer, to CD, or to streaming services. It focuses on overall tone, presence, and volume. This process makes your songs gel into a full album presentation so they can sound great on consumer grade devices, and cars, and radio.

Since we run a label, we are used to assisting artists with the selection of album art, package design, physical production, and digital distribution to streaming services. We can help you navigate these steps for your own independent release as well.
